How Long Does Lockheed Take For Security To Verify Background

I take been already offered a chore and taken the drug test and physical for the job, just waiting back on the background and security clearance to go through. How long does this process usually take? I accept asked on numerous other boards but this one seems to have the well-nigh traffic and probably more people to give their insight.

As well, I have a very clean groundwork, haven't moved around much and have never committed a criminal offence other than a speeding ticket when I was 16.

Information technology should only have a couple of days but information technology actually depends on the company you're applying for, how in depth of a background check they want to do, etc.

Its for Lockheed Martin, I will be dealing with confidential files and all that proficient stuff. I'one thousand guessing it could take a couple weeks. They didn't really go into detail virtually how far they would take to get. But like I mentioned in the post higher up I accept zippo criminal history and no background any. I'm hoping that will speed up the process.

I don't personally take feel with Lockheed just I do accept friends that have been hired within the CIA and depending on their clearance level it took up to ii weeks. The CIA even contacted their previous roommates and classmates.

That'south what I have been told by numerous people they volition do that, and that's fine. Shouldn't be a big deal at all. I merely was sitting hither over thinking everything too much, just desire to become that call and them tell me when to put my two weeks in at my other place of employment.

They will send out forms and interview friends, neighbors, employers etc. it takes anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, depending on how complicated your life is and how attainable your references are. Anyone you list on the application be sure to tell them to meet with the investigator as soon as possible after they contact them and so information technology doesn't crusade delays

I accept a secret clearance for my chore and it took 3 months to get my full clearance. I got program access within a week, confidential clearance soon after, secret (not sensitive) within my first calendar month and hugger-mugger (sensitive) in 3 months. It takes fourth dimension for sure.

From what i have read, y'all dont have many problems and if yous haven't moved much things should move smoothly equally far as the investigation side goes. However, there are steps that are required to exist completed no matter how clean you are and that tin have time. Even after the Investigators are done with information technology, the whole parcel has to go through OPM for approval. If you have nothing to hibernate, I wouldnt loose any sleep. If you get a call from an investigator wanting to meet up - I would exist honest in answering any question he/she has. You sound like y'all should exist fine.

Cheers all for your suggestions and insight. I haven't moved effectually much at all, lived in the same urban center from 4-xix, then moved to school hither at TCU. So, I am only waiting it out. Thankful I am hearing back from people that they called. So, it ways there is some progress being made.
